Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tire Factory, Inc., doing business as Point S USA ("Point S," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit pointstire.com and use our online services. It also describes your privacy rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the "CCPA"), and other U.S. state privacy laws. Individual Point S locations are independently owned and operated; this policy covers our corporate website and the online services we provide through it.
Other websites we do not control
This Privacy Policy applies only to pointstire.com and the online services we provide through it. Point S locations and members are independently owned and operated, and some operate their own websites on separate domains that we do not control or manage. For example, our store and location search may link you to a website operated by an individual Point S location or member. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we do not operate, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies before providing personal information.
Personal information we collect
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: name, email address, telephone number, postal address, and online identifiers such as IP address and device identifiers.
- Customer records and commercial information: products and services you view or add to your cart, and appointment and service requests. We do not process payments or collect payment card information on this site.
- Internet or other electronic network activity: pages viewed, links clicked, searches, and interactions with our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Geolocation data: approximate location derived from your IP address, and, only if you choose the store finder's "use my current location" feature, precise geolocation from your device.
- Audio, electronic, or visual information: recordings of your interactions with our site (such as mouse movements, clicks, and page navigation) collected by analytics tools.
- Vehicle information: the year, make, model, and trim you provide to find compatible tires or schedule service.
- Inferences: preferences and characteristics drawn from the information above.
Sensitive personal information. Precise geolocation is "sensitive personal information" under the CCPA. We collect it only when you choose the "use my current location" feature, and we use it solely to find stores near you. We do not use or disclose precise geolocation to infer characteristics about you or for advertising.
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you (for example, when you search, create an account, request an appointment, or contact us); automatically from your device and browser as you use our site (through cookies, pixels, and analytics); and from service providers that help us operate the site (for example, mapping and geocoding providers and our appointment and customer-management systems).
How we use personal information
- To provide and operate the site and the services you request: finding stores, showing tire options and pricing, and scheduling appointments.
- To communicate with you: responding to inquiries, confirming appointments, sending service messages, and marketing where permitted.
- For analytics and to improve our site and services.
- For advertising and marketing, including measuring and personalizing ads.
- For security, fraud prevention, and detecting invalid or fraudulent activity.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
How we disclose personal information; "sale" and "sharing"
We disclose personal information to:
- Service providers and processors that perform services on our behalf, for example: appointment and customer-management systems, mapping and geocoding providers, email delivery, hosting, and website analytics.
- Advertising and analytics partners, including Google, Meta (Facebook), Microsoft, and other advertising partners, through cookies and pixels on our site.
Our use of advertising cookies and pixels constitutes "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and may be considered a "sale," under California law. We do not exchange personal information for money. You can opt out of this sale and sharing as described in "Your privacy choices" below.
The categories of personal information involved in this sharing are identifiers (such as online and device identifiers), internet or other electronic network activity, and inferences. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information.
We may also disclose personal information to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or in connection with a merger or other business transfer. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and tags (managed through a tag manager), and similar technologies, for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. Some analytics tools record interactions with our site, such as mouse movements and clicks, to help us understand how the site is used.
Your choices. Non-essential cookies and trackers are off by default until you opt in through our cookie banner. You can review or change your choices at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer. We also recognize and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information.
Do Not Track signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. There is no common industry standard for how DNT signals should be interpreted, so we do not currently respond to them. We do, however, recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information, as described above.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it.
- Delete personal information we collected from you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted/cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights. You can submit a request by emailing customerservice@pointstire.com, and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. We will verify your request before acting on it, as the law requires. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Opt out of sale/sharing. Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer, or enable a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honor automatically.
Data retention
How long we keep personal information depends on why we collected it. The criteria we use include: how long we need it to provide what you requested (such as finding stores, showing tire options, or scheduling an appointment); the length of any ongoing relationship with you; and whether a longer period is required or permitted by law, for example for tax, accounting, security, or legal-hold reasons. When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your personal information, we delete or de-identify it, or, if that is not possible (for example, because it is held in backups), we securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we process. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Residents of other states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and others) may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data, and to appeal a decision on a request. We honor a single universal opt-out signal, including GPC, across these states. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the methods described in "Your privacy rights" above. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or by emailing customerservice@pointstire.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal," and we will respond within the time your state's law requires. If your appeal is denied, you may file a complaint with your state attorney general.
California "Shine the Light"
California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code Section 1798.83) lets California residents ask us, once a year and free of charge, for information about the personal information we shared with third parties for their own direct marketing during the prior calendar year. To make a request, email us at customerservice@pointstire.com.
Children's privacy
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version, and we will post material changes on this page.
